harp-E "walnut"

The "harp-E"

As the name suggests, the Harp-E is and electric harp ukulele.

This name is just as unusual as the instrument itself.

In this case we have a tenor ukulele with a 4 additional bass strings, which can be tuned according to the key or the basic notes of the song.

With the idea of building a Harp-E out of dark colored woods combined with the idea of using local woods as far as possible, this unique electric harp ukulele was created.

German walnut was used for both the body and the top, and this instrument is a good example to show the versatility of a wood.

A very special piece of alder, which adapts very well to the walnut in terms of grain and color gradient, results a very pleasantly playable neck.

This instrument is handed over to the future owner in an adapted aluminium case.

That case hast attached a plaque, which was made from the same wood as the instrument in the case. In this case walnut.
